When do I self-isolate?

The most common symptoms of coronavirus (Covid-19) are recent onset of:

new continuous cough and/or

high temperature

For most people, coronavirus will be a mild illness.

Anyone showing signs of the illness should self-isolate for 14 days, along with all other members of the household. This means staying at home and not leaving the house from 14 days from when the first person in the house became ill.

All absences due to self-isolation will be authorised.  Any children or staff displaying the onset of these symptoms during the school day will be sent home, along with any other members of their household.
