Headteacher’s Welcome

The Limes will be a brand new, contemporary primary academy, with an initial capacity of 420 children to serve the Oulton and the local area.  In addition to the main primary provision, we are also excited to offer a 26-place pre-school.

At The Limes we will provide an inspiring, innovative and immersive curriculum designed to promote a life-long love of learning.  Through this broad and balanced approach to learning, children will experience a wide range of subjects and experiences, whilst learning the key skills to enable them to become effective learners.

In our safe, inclusive and nurturing environment, all children will be motivated, supported and challenged.  Memorable experiences and ‘Wow’ moments will hook the children’s interest, inspiring children to take control of their own learning.

At The Limes we will cultivate strong working relationships with parents and carers, as we believe that parents and carers are pivotal to their children’s learning.   Through opportunities to learn together in activity cafés, workshops and special events, to Parent Consultation Evenings to discuss progress, we encourage parents and carers to work with the school to maximise learning.

We believe that every child should be celebrated: children are individual and unique and deserve equal opportunities to succeed.   Through the ‘Visible Learning’ approach, we promote learning dispositions that enable children to become independent, life-long learners, taking responsibility and ownership of their own learning.  By removing the ‘success ceiling’ and providing challenge at all levels, we intend all children to not just achieve, but to exceed expectations and attain the very best results they can, academically, creatively and personally.

I look forward to meeting and sharing with you the exciting learning opportunities on offer at The Limes.
